This year marks a truly special milestone—the 30th Annual Valentine’s Day Ball, a celebration of love, community, and compassion. What better way to honor the heart of this event than by recognizing those who live love through service - our dedicated healthcare heroes.

This tribute is especially meaningful to us as it honors the spirit of Lea Economos, a woman who experienced the healing power of compassion firsthand. Lea often spoke of two extraordinary nurses: Hanna, from Seattle, and Hazel, from right here in Hartford, CT. Though she may not be with us to thank them herself, we know she would be the first to express her gratitude to all those doing such beautiful work.

Let this 30th anniversary be more than a celebration of tradition—it is a tribute to love in action, to healing hearts, and to the everyday heroes whose work too often goes unrecognized.
